Rewriting Children's Songs for Today's Generation

If You're Happy and You Know It

If you're happy and you know it,
You found the right dose, (Clap, Clap)
If you're happy and you know it,
You found the right dose, (Clap, Clap)
All my problems have abated,
Cause I'm highly medicated,
If you're happy and you know it,
You found the right dose. (Clap, Clap)

The Hokey Pokey

You put your credit card in,
You take your credit card out,
You put your credit card in,
And you charge a huge amount,
You pay for things with credit,
So much debt you can't get out,
That's what it's all about.

The Annoying Barney Song

I hate you,
You hate me,
You belong to the wrong party,
You're a Right Wing Nut,
Or a Liberal Communist,
I wish that you didn't exist.

I was planning to do more, but I think that's probably enough cynical social commentary through kid's songs for one day.

Until later...

Can you really ever have too much cynical social commentary through children's songs? I think not. I feel that a plastic surgery version of "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" is due.
